On February 5, 2024, Aquafarmtory signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Jiaxing Institute of Future Food. The partnership aims to innovate food protein manufacturing and ensure a high-quality supply. James Wu, CEO of Aquafarmtory, discussed the cooperation with key figures, including Academician Chen Jian, Professor Li Jianghua, Professor Du Guocheng, Vice Dean Chen Anjun, and Assistant Dean Professor Cui Shixiu. Both sides had in-depth talks about future food sector opportunities and expressed optimism about their collaboration.

About Jiaxing Institute of Future Food

The Jiaxing Institute of Future Food is a collaborative initiative founded by the People’s Government of Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, the team of Academician Chen Jian, and Wufangzhai Group Co., Ltd. The institute currently hosts six research teams made up of experts and professors from Jiangnan University, Wuhan University, and Zhejiang University.

The institute focuses on four core research areas: artificial food processing technology, functional food processing for special needs, food intelligent equipment technology, and the development of AI sensory instruments. It brings together an international team specializing in future food technologies. The team emphasizes originality, independent intellectual property rights, and continuous innovation, along with scalable development. The institute has also established research, pilot test, and service platforms to support its work.
